Laurent Keller, ESEB President and professor of evolutionary biology at the University of Lausanne, has been awarded this year’s Marcel Benoist Prize. Laurent will formally receive the award on October 26th, 2015 at the University of Lausanne.

The ESEB Committee for the John Maynard Smith Prize is soliciting nominations for the award in 2016. The closing date for applications is Friday, 15 January 2016.

The winner of the John Maynard Smith Prize 2015 is Matthew Hartfield, currently a Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellow at the University of Toronto, Canada / Aarhus University, Denmark. Matthew will give the JMS 2015 prize lecture at the ESEB Congress 2015 in Lausanne and has been offered a junior fellowship at the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin.
