Objective of ESEB
The objective of the society is to promote the study of organic evolution. The society seeks to achieve this goal by, among other things, publishing the Journal of Evolutionary Biology, co-publishing the journal Evolution Letters, organizing congresses and scientific meetings, supporting research in the field of organic evolution, and financially supporting activities to promote a scientifically based view of organic evolution in research and education.

Remuneration policy
Board members, council members, editorial board members of the Journal of Evolutionary Biology and Evolution Letters, and other persons affiliated with the society, are reimbursed for their travel expenses to board meetings as outlined in the ESEB bylaws. The Bylaws are available at eseb.org/society/. The office manager of ESEB receives a regular salary.
